Bonnies ideal home is one which she doesn’t need to leave or be left, and so she’d like a large garden to explore, stretch her legs and play fetch in. Alternatively, she would be just as happy to join a home with someone who wants to develop their dog training skills, build an extraordinary relationship with their dog and in doing so work through her issues around dogs she meets outside of her home environment.
Bonnie has never exhibited any of the following behaviours: growling / showing teeth / snapping / and has not bitten anyone but she is reactive to other dogs outside of the home.
Bonnie could probably live with a neutered male, with careful introduction, or as an only dog.
- Other dogs: on lead – barks, spins and lunges at other dogs…dogs at distance or approaching / Off lead – only off lead with other resident dogs in a secure field / grew up with and lives with – neutered female Dobie (5yrs) & neutered male Old English Bull Dog…gets on better with the male
- People: barks at strangers who come to the door, may bark once they are inside but does eventually settle and make friends / has not had any exposure to children
- House trained
- Travels well in the car
- Crate trained: no – current owner has tried but Bonnie won’t have it
- Sleeps: on a sofa in the kitchen
- Home alone: becomes destructive after 30 to 60 minutes
- Has never shown signs of resource guarding toys or food
- Cats: untested
- Likes: Chuckit & knotted tug rope
- Special feature: very loving, likes cuddles and lean in
A direct rehome is planned for this dog. This means that the dog will not have to go into foster care or kennels; it’ll go from its current home directly to the adopter’s home, which means the dog doesn’t have to go through more change than is necessary. If you are interested in adopting any of the dogs you see, then please ensure you have submitted an adoption application via our website so that we are able to contact you as rehoming requests for dogs are submitted to us.
