Ideally suited as an only dog. This lovely Dobie lad appears to be well socialised; he walked without ado though a local town park, passing walkers, a pram, a man emptying a bin, a small moving tractor and was only mildly interested in the other dogs in the park. In the same park he took treats off an exercise thing that was gently swaying back and forth, and he was happy to sit politely whilst an admirer gave him a treat.
He has spent a couple of days in foster care but is now back in kennels crossing his paws in the hopes that there is a fabulous forever home just round the corner.
- People: friendly with strangers coming into the home and those outside of the home / not lived with children
- Other dogs: on lead – will ignore at distance but might want to try and say hello as they get close to him / off lead – playful and friendly, although his recall is poor and so not let off lead unless in a secure field or garden
- House trained
- Can be left home alone
- Crate trained
- Travels well in the car
- Cats: untested
Check out his album on our Facebook page ‘Dobies at Lincs Dobermann Rescue’ for the videos of him in the park, in foster care and in the kennels exercise field.
