Mabel has been in our care for almost 2 months, for all of that time, she has been in the care of a very special Fosterer whilst we made sure that she was fit and well. She was assessed prior to coming into our care and this has been ongoing during her time in foster. She is a loving pup and very sweet until she decides to be a little madam, at which point she will nip for attention. She does need a firm hand so the new family will need to ensure that structure and boundaries are in place to make sure this little lady lives her best life. She is crated when left alone. Mabel loves playing with her toys especially tug, she eventually lets you have the toy.
Mabel hasn’t displayed any food aggression/resource guarding, she likes you to hold a chew stick whilst she eats it. She will wait for her food until told she can have it.
Lead walking is still a work in progress, she is walked on a figure of 8 and a harness to avoid pressure on her neck.
Mable is a strong puppy with a strong will and needs a firm and consistent handler with experience of the breed. She is a sweetheart, loves to cuddle and give kisses; she will make somebody a beautiful loving Dobie if she is given the time and commitment needed.

If you haven’t completed an Adoption Application, you will not be matched with a dog in our care.
