Summer came into our care when she was tied up outside the pound back in November. We were contacted by The Animal Warden Services to see if we could offer her a safe haven. We did – and as a result of that we have been able to learn quite a lot about her and her behaviour. We don’t know where she came from as her chip was unregistered so her history is a blank canvas other than the fact that she was used for breeding. What we do know is that she is one sweet little lady. She is people and dog friendly, loves to be cuddled and fussed and is so very calm that she has been a de-stresser in the kennels for nervous dogs. She has been nibbling her side, we understand that this is a behaviour which is relatively normal in former breeding dogs. Summer has stolen the heart of everyone who meets her, her lovely gentle calm nature is so very sweet. She has not been spayed at this time but this will form part of her Adoption Contract.
