Nero’s owner has been very poorly and the recovery time is considerable therefore the decision has been taken to surrender Nero into Rescue, it hasn’t been an easy decision to take. Nero has lived with other dogs in the home and is fine, but she can bark and sometimes lunge when outdoors on lead, she is allowed off lead to play in a secure field. She walks well on a headcollar and will sit at the kerb before crossing the road quite calmly unless there are distractions close to her. In the home she can be quite barky at strangers, but it appears to be for attention. Ideally Nero will be an only dog where the family will invest time and effort into her training and socialisation and allow her to develop confidence when she sees other dogs outside. Although she is good with children, she will not be placed in a home where the children are under 12. She has been spayed and is fully assessed; the assessment will be provided to a potential Adopter.
