Maggie is a beautiful 8-year-old black and tan Dobermann who has found herself in our care through no fault of her own. Her owner, who has been a lifelong, devoted Dobermann lover, has sadly become unwell and is no longer able to look after her. Maggie has known only love and consistency, and this sudden change has left her confused and overwhelmed.
What Maggie Needs
A home with no other dogs or cats.
Older, dog-savvy teens: she hasn’t lived with children full-time but has enjoyed the company of visiting grandchildren.
A patient, understanding adopter who can offer calm, stability, and reassurance. Maggie has been struggling with the constant flow of carers coming into the home and is showing signs of stress.
Gentle reintroduction to the outside world: she hasn’t had regular walks for quite some time due to her owner’s accident, and she is reported to be strong on the lead. With time and confidence-building, this can certainly improve.
