Harley is a stunning Blue lady who has been in her current home with another female Dobie for 6 months. The owner believes that before she joined his family, Harley may have had a litter of pups. She is neutered and fully vaccinated, she has supplements and a special shampoo for her Colour Dilution Alopecia (CDA), which is now fully under control. She was a tubby lady when she came into her present home but is currently losing weight and gaining fitness with careful management. Sadly, quite a lot of rivalry is developing and the decision has been made that it is safer to rehome Harley. She has been fully assessed in the home and out on a walk. She is strong on lead and walks in a Halti which helps with pulling – she has good recall in her present home. Obviously, this will have to be transitioned by her new owner. Harley has been trained to sit and wait for her food and only eat when released, at night, she sleeps in her crate. The assessment showed that she is affectionate and laid back in the home.
Harley needs a home where the new family will be willing to continue her treatment for CDA. There has been a lot of effort put into her training and this will need to be continued. Harley is very affectionate girl, she would be happy as an only dog, or possibly with a male.
