Sid – Adoption Confirmed

We were contacted by the RSPCA who had Sid in (5 years) their kennels for almost a year with no suitable adopter coming forward. He was surrendered to us in the hope that as a Breed Specific Rescue, we would be better placed to find him a suitable home.

Sid is one of those special souls who feels the world very deeply. He struggles with anxieties and worries, and because of that, people often scroll past him in favour of an “easier” dog. But behind those worried eyes is a loyal, loving Dobermann who just needs the right guidance and the right person.

We are hoping to secure Sid a place with a residential trainer to help him work through the things that stress him. However, we must have an adopter in place first, someone committed to welcoming him home once his training is complete, so all that hard work isn’t undone by a return to kennels.

Sadly, this is a commitment many applicants aren’t able to make and so Sid waits.

Sid is very nervous outside of the home. He can react to bikes, cars, dogs and sudden noise. Having been in kennels for a long time, he will also need help learning how to live in a home environment again. He needs:

  • Patience
    • Time
    • A calm, structured home
    • A confident, steady handler to lead the way

In return, you will gain an incredibly devoted companion who will form the deepest bond with his person.

If you feel you could work with us to give Sid the long-term home he deserves, we would love to hear from you. Our Rehoming Team wants nothing more than to see him settled and thriving, and Lincs are fully committed to supporting the right adopter on this journey.

Please complete an Adoption Application so that we can carry out the necessary background checks in the first instance.
