Dottie is a beautiful 8-month-old girl who has come into our care due to a no-fault surrender. Through absolutely no fault of her own, she is now searching for a loving forever family to call her own.
Dottie recently completed 5 weeks of residential training, and we have a full trainer’s report available which we will happily share with prospective adopters. She has made fantastic progress and is a clever, capable young dog with a wonderful foundation to build upon.
In the home, Dottie is clean and crate trained. She walks very nicely to heel and has clearly benefited from her structured training. Like many young pups, she can be exuberant and excitable indoors, she has high energy and may jump up when enthusiastic, but this is typical puppy behaviour and continues to improve with guidance and consistency.
Although Dottie hasn’t lived with children previously but was around children during her training stay and coped well. We are therefore asking for homes with dog savvy children.
She can sometimes be excitable around other dogs; however, this was worked on during her training and has shown improvement. With continued positive reinforcement and calm leadership, she will continue to flourish.
Dottie has not been cat tested, so we are looking for a cat-free home.
She is entire due to her age and will be rehomed with a neutering contract to be completed at the appropriate time.
Dottie hasn’t shown a huge interest in toys just yet, but we believe with the right human interaction and bonding, her playful side will really begin to shine.
She has:

• Crate training established
• A solid training foundation
Dottie would thrive in an active home that can continue her training, provide structure, and most importantly, give her the love and stability she deserves. She is a young dog with so much potential and a bright future ahead.
