Brewer is a 3-year-old neutered male who is coming into Lincs through no fault of his own. Following the arrival of a baby, his family have found it increasingly difficult to meet his needs.
Recently, Brewer has shown some destructive behaviour in the home, which is felt to be down to boredom, frustration and spending long periods in a crate, this is new behaviour for him. Brewer thrives on company and interaction and is a dog who truly craves attention and companionship from his people.
We are looking for a home that can offer Brewer structure, routine, plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, along with the time and commitment to help him flourish. He currently sleeps on the sofa, enjoys a good game of tug and the opportunity to interact with his family.
Brewer is very enthusiastic when meeting new people and may jump up or mouth in his excitement, so he will need guidance and ongoing training to channel this appropriately. He has lived with a toddler but, due to his boisterous nature, he would only be rehomed with dog-savvy teenagers.
On walks, Brewer can pull initially but soon settles and does check in with his handler for direction. He is currently not let off lead & shows no food aggression.
Brewer is a bright, intelligent and highly trainable boy. With the right person who has the time and motivation to invest in him, he has the potential to become a wonderfully obedient and well-balanced companion.
Brewer has not lived with cats, so a cat-free home is required.
If you feel you could offer Brewer the fresh start he deserves, please submit an application via the Adoptions tab so we can begin the homecheck process.
