We have recently been asked to assist with the rehoming of lovely Aimee due to her owner sadly experiencing ill health and no longer being able to manage her needs.
Aimee originally belonged to his wife, who sadly passed away, and since then her dog dad has done everything he can to care for her. However, with his own health now declining and with no family support around him, he has made the heartbreaking decision to ask for help in finding Aimee a new home where she can continue to receive the care and attention she deserves.
Aimee has had quite a journey over the last few years. When she first came to her current family through another rescue, it was discovered she was pregnant. She later had to undergo an emergency caesarean to deliver her puppies, and her devoted family nursed her back to full health. Despite everything she has been through, Aimee remains a confident, affectionate and very sweet girl.
Aimee will be turning 7 years old this month, is neutered and fully up to date with her vaccinations.
She is a friendly girl who greets visitors with excitement and absolutely adores fuss and attention. She enjoys playing with a ball, takes treats very gently and knows some basic commands. Aimee loves her walks and although she may switch side to side, she doesn’t pull on the lead.
She currently sleeps in a crate, can be left for a couple of hours, and is generally a very well-behaved and easy companion. We are told she has previously lived with another dog (now deceased) and has been socially fine with dogs, although this was not witnessed by us during her dog assessment.
Aimee cannot live with cats.
She has not lived with children previously, however we believe she could happily live with older, dog-savvy teenagers or visiting children who understand how to respect a dogs space.
All round, Aimee is a lovely, gentle girl who craves affection and companionship. She has been deeply loved, and this is an incredibly sad situation for her owner, who simply wants to know she will be safe and happy in her next home.
Please don’t let her age put you off, she still has so much love to give.
If you think you could open your heart and home to Aimee, we would love to hear from you by submitting your application via the Adoptions tab.
