Reggie

Meet Reggie
Reggie is a stunning Black and Tan Dobermann, aged 2½ years, who is looking for a new home due to a change in family circumstances.
Reggie is currently entire, and we have requested that he is castrated before coming into rescue.
This handsome lad loves nothing more than a good bone to chew and a ball to chase! He’s a bright, busy boy who enjoys being involved in everything very nosey, sometimes a little too friendly, and he may jump up in his enthusiasm to say hello.
In the Home
Fine with people coming in and out of the house
Can be left for a couple of hours
Travels well in the car
On the whole, well behaved
Reggie has been around visiting toddlers and has behaved well, but due to his giddy and energetic nature, we feel he would be best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy teenagers who won’t be knocked over by his exuberance.
Out and About
Reggie is currently high energy on walks, alert, engaged and very interested in his surroundings. His recall is poor at present, so he isn’t allowed off lead in open areas.
He can show frustration towards other dogs when on lead, which presents as jumping and barking. This is an area where he needs further, consistent training and guidance.
Reggie has had an incident with another male dog who got into his face; however, we feel this situation could have been avoided. We believe he could potentially live successfully with a large breed, confident female dog, subject to careful introductions.
🚫 Not suitable to live with cats.
At his assessment it was clear that Reggie is a lovely dog who simply needs an experienced, committed owner, ideally someone familiar with the breed who can provide him with the exercise, mental stimulation and consistent training he thrives on.
With structure, focus and follow-through, Reggie has all the makings of an incredible companion. He’s a good boy who just needs the right guidance and a fresh start.
Could you be the one to give Reggie the home he deserves?
