Sarok

Sarok is coming into rescue through absolutely no fault of his own and is now looking for a special home to call his own.
As you can see, Sarok is an Albino Dobermann and because of his lack of protective pigment, Sarok will need to wear protective goggles on bright or sunny days to protect his eyes which he has a supply of. The good news is that he is very comfortable wearing them and happily keeps them on both on and off lead. As with any dog, care should be taken during very hot weather, and it is advisable to keep him out of direct sun. Sarok is sensible and will usually seek out a shady spot on his own.
Sarok has been extensively health tested and has no health issues.
He has excellent recall, is crate trained, and has lived peacefully alongside multiple other Dobermanns as well as more unusual companions including emus, chickens, and pigeons. Aside from one male Dobermann, he has had no issues living with others.
He shows no resource guarding with either food or toys. Sarok is still entire due to his age, but he will be rehomed with a neutering contract, requiring him to be castrated when he is old enough.
Sarok is a sensitive and slightly shy boy who tends to keep to himself when out walking and is not particularly interested in greeting other dogs because he is so used to his own pack at home.
He has lived a somewhat unconventional lifestyle, spending his days with free run of a secure yard, so he may need a little time and patience to adjust to life inside a more traditional household environment.
Sarok has not lived with or been around children & so we would only rehome to households with older teenage children.
Although Sarok has been left alone before, he has always had the company of multiple other dogs. If he were to be rehomed as the only dog, he may need time to adjust to being left. For this reason, our preference would be for him to live with a spayed female dog as a companion.
If you believe you could offer Sarok the loving home he deserves, please complete an application via our website.
