Eric – Adoption Pending

Say hello to Eric, a strikingly handsome 1 year old Dobermann boy with a glossy coat and bags of personality. Eric is still very much a big puppy at heart – full of energy, enthusiasm, and affection – but needs an experienced home to guide him into adulthood as he is quite a boisterous boy currently.
Eric is being rehomed as his owner is finding it difficult to manage his high energy levels around young family members, especially as he’s prone to jumping up in excitement, which has accidentally knocked over little ones and visitors. At 36kg he is already a very stocky lad and for this reason, Eric will only be considered for homes with families with teenagers, sorry no young children.
Eric is a typical bouncy youngster: Full of beans and very excitable, he’s still learning how to manage his enthusiasm. He is very much a project. He is strong on the lead, has poor recall, and is still mouthing and licking – he’s not being naughty, just hasn’t had the consistent training he needs yet.
Eric wants to make friends with other dogs but lacks manners – and needs your help learning how to interact respectfully. Eric doesn’t live with cats so homes with cats cannot be considered at this time.
Eric loves a squeaky ball, at food time he has lovely food manners and will settle suckling on blankets and being around his family. If you need to pop out, no problem, Eric can be happily left for up to 3 hours in his crate.
Eric is a stunning boy who has so much love to give, but like many young, high-energy dogs, he needs the right home to help him channel all that enthusiasm into positive behaviours. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to train, exercise, and share your life with, Eric could be your perfect match.
If you have not completed an Adoption Application and been homechecked, you will not be considered for any of the dogs in our care.
